📘 Who is Ario Vahabi?

Ario Vahabi (57) is a writer of Iranian origin, IT specialist, poet, and a seeker of meaning in life. His path led him from the village of Shalman in northern Iran to the Netherlands, but his journey was more than geographical, it was a quest for meaning, freedom, and love.

His poetry is now read internationally via Instagram and literary platforms.

🌿 About the Book “Ivy”

His latest book, Ivy, is a poetic autobiographical story about inner transformation. Just as the ivy plant finds its way toward the light, A. Vahabi rediscovered himself after loss, war, and silence.

The book is written in three languages – Farsi, Dutch, and English – and touches on universal themes such as love, memory, and liberation.

“Klimop – Een verhaal van liefde, verlies en innerlijke transformatie.”

✍️ Personal Message from the Author

This book is the true story of my life — a story about migration, war, love, loneliness, and rebuilding myself.

Like ivy that grows toward the light even in darkness, I learned how to keep moving through difficult times.

Ivy is more than just the name of a plant — it is a symbol of the human journey: full of twists, hard days, and little sparks of hope.

In this book, I share my childhood in Iran, my experiences abroad, the days when everything collapsed, and the moments when I rose again.

This is my story, but perhaps you will recognize something of yourself in it too.

If you're looking for a book that is honest, personal, and inspiring, then Ivy is for you.

📖 Poem – Encounter

I close my eyes to find you
Used the poem of autumn and rain as a metaphor for your love,
unaware that your garden knows no season.

You have not yet arrived
but your footprint in me is everywhere.

Walk a little slower
then I’ll walk a little faster
so we can meet,
and you can tell me about the real beauty of truth.

Everyone thinks they’ve heard all that has been said,
everyone thinks they’ve read all that has been written.

Please, tell me all your unsaid and unwritten things.

I’m not afraid,
Reveal the truth.
